Hi guys and happy Sunday! Guess what I woke up to this morning?! SNOW!!! I am not ready for snow and the freezing temps that comes with it but, with that being said it’s Halloween week!! So let’s ignore the freezing cold and snow and focus on all things spooky! We are doing all the last minute spooky things such as carving pumpkins, caramel apples, and drinking apple cider!
Today I will be baking a pear apple pie and watching Hocus Pocus! Probably staying in our jammies and cuddling up together. I encourage you this week to make a new fall recipe you’ve been wanting to try!
Lastly I hope you embrace this last week of spooky! Pick an outfit after your favorite movie or wear the fun lipstick shade! Do things a little extra this week and of course eat some candy!!
P.s the full moon is today! 🌕

Hey guys and happy Sunday! Hope everyone had a good week! For this Sunday I figured we could do a little Sunday reset! Not a typical reset but more of a fun and creative reset! So with that being said let’s get into it! You can either pick just one to do today or you can follow along with me and do it all!
First of all you wake up and get a beverage of choice, mine will either be a matcha or a tea! Then you get dressed in a comfy but cute outfit, mine will be the Sunday Sweater and some vouri sweats! After that we are going to make something for 30 mins or as long as you want. Now this can be anything with your hands. Such as needlepointing, sewing, baking, coloring, or a puzzle. These are just a few example of what I will be doing but, there are endless amounts of things you can spend your time doing!
Next after that we are going to get out of the house and go for a walk. Just a 20 min. walk to get moving and breathe in some fresh air. Even though sometimes I don’t want to go especially since it’s getting colder. I urge you to because it helps me so much with just making me feel better and I bet it will help you too!
Lastly let’s add a little whimsy to your day. For my whimsy I will be lighting my new trader joes apple candle and making a ghost soup. (just means I'm shaping the potatoes into ghost!) Some other ideas could be shower by candlelight and listen to your favorite music. Make caramel apples and add other candy or nuts to them and watch your fave spooky movie!
I think I will be participating in all of these activities today and I think you should to! Let’s start this week off on a fun and relaxing note.

Tarot Week!
Week 2 is Tarot! I’ve been dabbling in tarot for a couple years. I have two different decks. The decks are so fun and the artwork on most decks are insanely beautiful. I felt like this would be a good 2nd week theme to get us into the spooky spirit.
Starting with food/drinks - For drinks I’m thinking we are going to pull a card for the week and then find the corresponding drink on Pinterest! I think this is going to be so fun and you can put your own intuition and vibes into this drink. For food Im thinking of toast with butter shapes of different cards. Or star shaped grilled cheese with tomato soup!
Activities that we will be doing is of course pulling tarot cards every morning! I will be learning a new tarot formation for pulling. I’m thinking a connect with your spirit guide spread. I’ve also found a lot of different spreads on Pinterest that would be fun to do and learn. I think a fun activity to learn would be how to dress a candle for when I pull cards I can have this candle burn. Dress a candle just means to add herbs and oils to it for manifesting or good energy. You can make it for specific things or just good vibes in general.
Crafts- Learning how to properly dress a candle. Learn a new tarot spread. Lastly I’m thinking of making homemade incense. I’ve seen a couple YouTube videos and it looks pretty easy to do!
Movie Night- The Craft will be our movie this weekend. For dinner we will be making High priestess pasta, handmade pasta with a deep red sauce. The moon- a homemade sourdough loaf with garlic butter. For dessert a dark chocolate tart with flaky salt and blackberries. For a drink a blackberry rosemary mocktail!
I’m so excited for this week and ready to learn more about tarot. I will also be consuming tarot YouTube and the history on tarot!

Hey Guys! Hope your October is off to a great start. So far this month is going great we are making lots of new fall recipes and doing all the fall activities. Tonight we will be making spooky pasta! It’s just homemade pasta with different colors. I’m thinking of doing purple/pink using beats, black from squid ink or charcoal I haven’t decided yet and orange from pumpkin puree. I’m planning on making a garlic parmesan sauce to go with it! I’m very excited to make this recipe and I think it will be very festive! Also for pumpkin week I made pumpkin shaped grilled cheese with homemade tomato soup in my new cauldron cast iron pot! We also went to the pumpkin patch and had lots of fun with the whole family. We each picked out a pumpkin to carve later this month.
The weather has been perfect this week. We’ve been trying to soak up these last nice days because the weather is drastically supposed to change next week. Lot’s of walks to the park, yoga outside, and chilling outside before it gets too chilly.
This next week the theme is going to be Tarot! I’m extremely excited for this theme and there is so many different ways we can incorporate it this upcoming week.

Pumpkin Week!
Ok for week 1 of October we are doing Pumpkin theme! It’s a great theme to get into the spirit of the month. We are going to be doing food/drinks, activities, crafts, and one big dinner/movie night!
Starting with food/drinks- I want to make pumpkin creme brûlée, fall harvest punch, some sort of pumpkin pasta, and maybe some pumpkin truffles. These are just the recipes Im thinking of so far.
Activities that we will be participating in are going to the pumpkin patch! For my 1 yr old we will be painting some pumpkin pictures and reading pumpkin books. We will also be going on a fall walk and pick up some leaves to make leaf people!
Crafts- I want to make vintage pumpkin faces with cardboard and paint! Pumpkin candle holders made out of clay and painted! I’m just thinking these two for now and will see if I do more or not!
Movie Night- HalloweenTown will be the Sunday night dinner! For the dinner that night we will make Bell pepper stuffed pumpkins, instant witches brew drink, and Sophies chocolate chip cookies.
Since I am doing this as the week goes on. I will update you with photos and recipes as I make them on Instagram!

This is the start of spooky season! I am so excited for this month! This week we are going to the pumpkin patch and doing all the festivities. I want to also make a fun fall NA drink, so will update you guys on how that goes. In October I love doing themed weeks. I usually pick a movie to go off of for the week. I create a weekly menu around that theme and then on Sunday I do a big dinner and we watch the corresponding movie. This month Im thinking the themes are going to be witches, vampires, ghosts, pumpkins, and tarot. Not in this particular order but, those are the overarching themes and then I will pick the movie and activities closer to each week. I will let you know each week!
I encourage you to make a themed week this month! Just start with one and see how it makes you feel! Adding a little whimsy to your month especially October because to me it’s the easiest month for whimsy!

Welcome!
Dear Friend,
I'm so glad you're here.
M. Marshall began with a simple belief: that the ordinary moments often become our most treasured memories.
Whether it's a loaf of bread cooling on the counter, a quiet afternoon spent stitching, or gathering around the table with the people you love, these are the moments that inspire everything we create.
The Journal is where I'll share seasonal recipes, stories behind our collections, inspiration from the studio, and a glimpse into everyday life at M. Marshall.
Thank you for being here from the very beginning.
I'm so grateful you've found your way to us.
With gratitude,
Mackenzie
